Our Message
In healing ourselves, we heal our planet
Imagine what it would be like if we all got together and began thinking about global healing instead of global warming. Many people are already doing this. What if we all dreamed a similar dream? A dream with a happy ending – for polar bears to survive, for rivers to run clean and clear again, for our air to become friendly again to our asthmatic children and elders, for entire species of plants and animals to survive for the generations to come. We believe that human beings are capable of creating a healed and sustainable earth by beginning with ourselves, by becoming conscious. Let’s work together to make the world a much more gentle place for all living creatures – the ones of the air, water, land, the babies, children, men, women and especially the elders – all life on earth matters. Take care of yourself first by finding ways to balance your energy. Then take care of your planet. Explore all the green and humane things you can do (see RESOURCES).

Taking responsibility
Becoming conscious in today’s world is quite a challenge with all we have to keep up with. With a little focus and intention, you can change your energy to attract opportunities to do more of what you really want to do. As we all begin to concentrate on what we love, we create a more positive global consciousness. At Doedreamers, we believe the best way to connect to your inner truth is in nature. We encourage you to get outside and walk and sit and fall in love with our glorious planet. In doing so, you may feel her falling in love with you as she offers you clarity for the answers you seek. Join us as we practice the art of walking in harmony and balance everyday.

Wildlife & ecosystems
All life matters and when mankind interferes with nature, we often upset the balance. The ripples flowing from unnatural changes can do more damage than we could have ever known how to plan for. Entire species of life can be wiped out. Where are these animals to go and how will they survive if we continue to develop and mow down entire ecosystems? Where will our medicines come from when medicinal plants are gone? How will we survive?

Our forests, our breath of life
Did you know that each year we lose a forest roughly the size of North Carolina due to illegal logging around the world? You could be contributing to this loss if you are purchasing paper products that are not identified as being made from sustainably harvested sources. Our beautiful trees are the lungs of the earth. Our lungs depend upon them to give us the oxygen we need to breathe. Today, we have more cases of asthma and emphysema than ever before. What does it mean when we have to tell a child that they can’t go outside and play on a warm summer’s day because the air quality is in the red zone?

Medicinal plant conservation
Earth medicine depends upon plant conservation. Did you know that many medicinal plants are fast becoming at risk of extinction in the wild? If you are purchasing herbal products that are not labeled as being sustainably or organically grown, you may be supporting those raping the medicinal plants from our meadows and forests and in doing so, unfortunately contribute to the many plant species at risk of extinction. Make conservative choices with your wallet and help protect our precious medicinal plants.

Our Music
People, who have heard our music, know us as Old Crow & Little Raven, a two-bird band. We love to sing and drum and share messages of our love for the natural world. We are available to come to your organization, business or residence, etc. We have over thirty original songs we have written about nature, animals, the sun, the moon, trees, rain, teachers, dragonflies, dreams, the doe, the bear, the jungle, you name it. All are inspirational and heart opening and dedicated to the love of all life on earth. Our music is suited to children of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest. We've performed at hospitals, rehab centers, nursing homes, cancer centers, Boy Scout fire circles, sustainability festivals, events, etc.

The healing power of the drum
To us, the drum is connected to the heartbeat of Mother Earth. Perhaps it is so powerfully healing because it simulates that never forgotten memory of the rhythm of our Mother’s heartbeat when we were inside her womb. It connects us to a safe and nurturing feeling – soothing and at the same time, invigorating and life giving. It calls to us to come alive, to dance, to connect to the heart of all we are here to experience.

It can be an extension of our hearts as we all come together and heal. The drum has actually been proven to create positive outcomes in all sorts of situations where people who wouldn’t normally respond did so with its healing rhythm. No matter who you are, it’s hard to ignore the rhythm of the drum; it calls to your primal spirit. We consider it one of our most powerful healing allies.

Lifting our voices
We have found that when you get people together and get them singing, all their “stuff” just falls to the ground. There’s a shared joy when people open their hearts together and sing. We love to see eyes brighten and faces soften after sitting in circle and sharing our songs with others. Singing is also a powerful way to change your energy, forget your worries and lift your spirits.

Global healing
We spread the message of global healing with a positive outlook for all life on earth – for a more beautiful tomorrow for all generations to come. When we all come together and concentrate on the positive rather than on global warming, we create a powerful energy catalyst to promote a healthy and sustainable environment. If only 1% of us come together and meditate and practice positive change, we can truly affect our community and the world. We enjoy sharing the healing power of the drum in our original songs and storytelling with hope to inspire greatness in this time of great change. Come experience a timely message from Blair with our music.

Prayer as song
Perhaps everything we do on this earth is like a prayer. Our words, our actions and our attitudes have a big part to play in what happens to us and around us. Everything we say and do is important – every decision affects other people and our planet. We encourage people to do walking meditations in nature or while gardening. By softly singing your gratitude to the natural world, you can intentionally feed the energy that keeps us all alive, not to mention relaxing your whole being in the process.

In Gratitude
We’d like to express our gratitude to all the teachers that have helped us with our personal spiritual healings. This includes our blood families, our ancestors and our spiritual family as well as all of the elders and traditional healers who have opened up their hearts and made all sorts of sacrifices in order to share their teachings. In great appreciation and respect for their privacy, we hold a space of gratitude for them here.

We extend a special appreciation for all the organizations working on the greater good. This website is not just about Doedreamers. It is also a place for you to find information to expand your consciousness along with all sorts of ways to connect to Mother Earth and all of nature – see our resources. Enjoy!

In gratitude to our web master
We wish to extend a very special blessing to Joshua West in producing this second design for us in the celebration of Doedreamer's 7th year anniversary! Also, we thank Joshua for creating our second e-newsletter template as well as continuing to help us with photo updates, etc. Especially for his latest video recording of our song "What would she say?" and our message along with his beautiful footage of the pine trees in the old growth forest at Piedmont Environmental Center. Joshua is quite the web master. His talent and skills as a Multi-media Creative Director take him miles beyond your typical “web guy”. An incredible artist, songwriter, recorded musician and videographer, Joshua spreads lots of love and light throughout his many avenues of creativity. We highly recommend his services. We send him and his family our heartfelt prayers of love and gratitude.
